From Stuck to Strong: Shift Your Mindset, Shift Your Life

Attitude can make or break your weight-loss journey.  It can determine how successful you are.  So make the decision today that you ARE a healthy person.  You don’t eat sugar, refined plant oils, or grains.  You ARE an active person. 

Imagine yourself as that healthiest version of yourself.  What are the daily habits of your best self?  Do you get in some kind of movement before you go to work?  Are you packing healthy options to eat instead of hitting the fast food drive-thru?  What kind of sleep does your healthiest self get?  What time are you shutting of devices and going to bed to make that happen?  Take a few minutes today to see what your healthiest self looks like and how you live your healthiest life and try to incorporate one of those habits today. 

Are these habits you can see yourself making for a lifetime?  Which are going to be harder to do?  Try to envision not just the healthy habits your healthiest self does daily, but what do you look like?  How do those healthy habits make you feel?  Try to maintain that feeling all day, and see how it changes your daily choices & actions. 

Don’t forget to set yourself up for success for the weekend too.  Spend a few minutes really FEELING how your healthiest self feels, looks and acts.  Make a conscious decision TODAY that you will live as your healthiest self this weekend.  Maybe that means avoiding the weekly drinking with your friends (try to limit to 1-2 drinks instead of 4+?)  Go on an early morning hike and 1) see nature right after the sun rises, and 2) you’ll get it out of the way for the day!  If you’re going on a date this weekend, look at the menu ahead of time and choose the healthiest option you can, while still having fun and enjoying yourself.  Maybe find some fun, non-food activities to do on your date? This isn’t meant to be a chore, this is meant to have you looking forward to the weekend and cutting loose from work for a few days while still being your best self!
